HSBC Beefs Up In Auckland With Eye On Kiwi Coverage

BANKS

Under its new brand name HSBC Markets, the New Zealand branch of parent Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corp, is making a push in Auckland to increase its corporate base in line with the bank's role in Asia-Pacific generally, says Simon Palfreyman, manager of treasury and capital markets.

Palfreyman was transferred from London two months ago to oversee the drive. In addition to Palfreyman, HSBC Markets made two key hires to improve coverage of the existing product base in Auckland.
