HSBC hires forex sales head

NEW YORK -- HSBC USA has hired Paul Plesser to head institutional and corporate FX sales in New York. The role managing both client sectors had been empty for about a year, Alain Delelis, head of FX sales and trading for North America told FX Week.

David Johnson, head of global institutional sales, now reports to Plesser. The bank has no dedicated head of corporate sales in the city.

Plesser joined the UK-based bank from JP Morgan Chase in New York, where he was head of institutional FX sales
