Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) has hired John Martin as head of its New York-based financial markets team, with a primary emphasis on foreign exchange, says Paul Riordan, head of global trading in Sydney. Martin joins CBA from Bank of Montreal in Chicago, where he was chief spot dealer (FXW, June 9). He replaces Steve Lucas, who is relocating to Sydney to work on establishing a proprietary interest rate trading team, adds Riordan. CBA also made two hires for its forex team in Sydney.
