Smith Barney Shearson Continues Forex Expansion With New Hires

Smith Barney Shearson continues its ongoing expansion in FX with the addition of Mark Howe in a newly created role as chief spot dealer in New York, officials confirm.
Howe joins from SBC Warburg in London, where he traded dollar/mark. He takes on part of the role previously held by Jim Mulvey, who left to join CS First Boston in New York. According to global FX chief Martin Marx, Mulvey also had responsibility for forwards -- Smith Barney is still looking for a chief forwards dealer in New York
