AIG Eyes Medium Term Desk Late March Start Planned

AIG Trading Corp. is developing a medium term currency options and forward desk, which it plans to open by the end of the month, sources there say. AIG hopes that its enviable credit rating will help attract corporate clients looking to do medium term business and bolster its foreign exchange options trading capabilities.
"This is a natural evolution to expand our services to corporate customers as well as our options capabilities," says Jonas Littman, a senior vice president at the firm. He says
