SWIFT II Set For Roll-Out, 100 Sites Eyed But Migration Problems Likely, Some Fret

SWIFT II, the new network from the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications, is being rolled out in about 100 sites over the next two months, SWIFT officials told the 2,200 delegates at the annual SWIFT International Banking Operations Seminar, SIBOS, last week in Berlin. But the network, which has been in development for quite some time, may present a few problems for users when they switch over from the existing network.
