Commerzbank Plans Addition Of FX Desk To Shanghai Branch

Commerzbank's new branch in Shanghai, upgraded from a representative office earlier this month, will include an FX trading desk, according to global foreign exchange manager Martin Wiedmann. Although the details are not yet worked out, he says, the new desk will have two or three traders.
Wiedmann says that the branch will be the point of contact for mainland China, with a business based largely around trade finance and infrastructure finance. Holding a full banking licence, the Commerz branch
