UK public reveals confusion over euro

LONDON -- The ups and downs of the euro’s value versus the major currencies have proved a continual source of bafflement for forex market specialists in the course of its 31-month lifespan.

But that’s nothing compared with the confusion in the minds of the British public, according to a new survey published last week.

The survey, commissioned by UK retail forex firm FX Currency Services, found that 47% of British people said they have no idea what the euro is worth. Among those who claimed they
