Reuters' Matching Service For Forwards Off To Slow Start, But Dealers Optimistic

Traders are experiencing "thin" liquidity on Reuters Dealing 2000-2 Forwards automated matching service, which launched three months ago (FXW, June 2), say users interviewed by FX Week. Despite the lack of volume on the service so far, many market participants remain optimistic about its chances of success; however, some sources say the forwards product is unlikely to emerge as the market force its elder sibling spot service has become.
