Warburg Plans Currency Options Expansion In London Headquarters

U.K. merchant bank S.G. Warburg is "re-igniting" its currency options effort from its London headquarters, according to Larry Arber, director in charge of foreign exchange.

Warburg has hired Alan Morrison, who starts at the beginning of November, to lead the options drive which is part of a plan by the bank to boost its foreign exchange business worldwide. Warburg recently opened a new FX desk in New York (FX Week, September 5) to complement its head-office options business.

Morrison fills a spot
