Currency options contracts on the Marché à Terme International de France (Matif) bounced back in November and in December with record volumes and open interest in the dollar/French franc contract, in particular. Matif officials say volumes on the dollar/Deutsche mark option rose 52.7 per cent in November compared with the previous month while dollar/franc volumes jumped 162 per cent over the same period.
