Republic Hires Steele In London To Develop Customized Products

Republic National Bank of New York is strengthening its U.K. operation with the recruitment of Susan Steele, one of the founders of the Philadelphia Stock Exchange's currency options market, the first listed currency options market, bank officials confirm.
Earlier this year Republic took on Kenneth Sullivan's 36-strong Mercadian Capital group in New York to lead the bank's foray into swaps and derivatives and then announced plans for a derivatives desk in Hong Kong to complement the group's
