SMBC lures Hodges for investor sales in London

PEOPLE NEWS

LONDON -- Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) has made a senior hire to its forex operation in London, luring veteran forex market player Jeremy Hodges back to the markets to work on its sales desk.

Building on SMBC’s April 1, 2001 creation from the merger of Sumitomo Bank and Sakura Bank, Hodges -- former head of FX for Bankers Trust in Europe -- will focus on institutional investors, reporting to head of desk David Thomas.
