Merrill lures deSa back to FX

NEW YORK -- US investment bank Merrill Lynch has hired heavyweight forex player Michael deSa as head of global FX, as the firm prepares to build its foreign exchange group.

DeSa -- a veteran in the market, having managed FX at both Deutsche Bank and Citibank in New York and London -- starts at Merrill Lynch in New York this week. His hire was one of a series announced by Merrill last week as new head of global debt markets Dow Kim unveiled his senior management line-up. In a recent interview
