Bear Stearns Woos 300 Would-Be Hedge Fund Managers In London

LONDON--Bear Stearns International has launched a seminar programme in London for traders and fund managers who want to set up their own hedge fund businesses. The first seminar, which was held at the end of April, attracted more than 300 individuals from the City, as well as other centres such as Paris, Switzerland, Amsterdam and even Hong Kong, according to Richard Harriton, president of Bear Stearns Securities in New York.
The seminar was oversubscribed by some 500 per cent, as Harriton
