Stanley Wong becomes StanChart’s China CEO
Stanley Wong
will move to Shanghai to take up a full-time position as chief executive officer for China at Standard Chartered Bank on January 1, 2002.

Appointed to the post on June 1, 2001, Wong previously split his time between the Chinese centre and Hong Kong, where he was formerly based as StanChart’s regional treasurer for North Asia. In Hong Kong, Patrick Gillot took over Wong’s responsibilities on June 20, 2001.
