FRANKFURT--The release last week of Dresdner Bank's annual report completed the line up of German bank results. The majority of the German players are showing strong profits from their trading activities.

However, there has been a trend this year among the German banks to consolidate trading results from foreign exchange, fixed income, money markets and related derivatives in a single line of their profit and loss accounts. This means that very few of the German banks now break out a separate FX
