Clydesdale Bank in Glasgow is seeking to win business from its competitors in Scotland and London, following the opening last month of its new £3 million state-of-the-art treasury dealing room.

"Many of the large Scottish corporates, fund managers and institutions have had to turn to London for help in the past," says treasurer David Peebles. "No longer -- we believe we can take business from our rivals on the home front and from London." Peebles joined the bank last year after three years
