Nikko Hires Beales As Treasurer With Aim Of Expanding London

Nikko Securities has recruited Mike Beales as London treasurer and managing director of Nikko Bank, its U.K. commercial and corporate banking operation. He started in his new post on January 2, officials say.
Beales, aged 51, is taking over from Tom Lockett at Nikko Bank and will continue an "ongoing expansion of the bank's treasury and trading business," officials say. However, officials decline to give details beyond commenting that Beales will initially be "taking stock of the operation."
