Frederick J. Chapey Jr. has been named global origination executive of Chase Manhattan's global risk management group. Chapey, a 14-year veteran at the bank, had been in charge of interest-rate and currency-derivative origination and structuring for North and South America. In his new job, Chapey will manage Chase's worldwide derivatives origination and structuring efforts, jointly managing Chase's commodity derivatives marketing with Alex Mintcheff. Chapey will lead coordination and alignment
