CFTC Cracks Down On FX Fraud Reinforcing Its Role As Regulator

REGULATIONS

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) seems to be succeeding on one front in the U.S. - protecting the retail investor, sources say. They point to the increase in CFTC actions against companies conducting illegal off-exchange currency and precious metal futures transactions, which have noticeably picked up over the past two years. The CFTC currently has jurisdiction over commodity trading on exchanges, under the Commodities Exchange Act (CEA).
