New York 1994 Bonus Front Looks Bleak, But Not For All

With foreign exchange trading revenues down across-the-board at nearly every major U.S. bank in 1994 compared to 1993, bonuses will fail to reach the levels they were a year ago (FX Week, Nov. 29, 1993). But top performers are still expected to be well rewarded, most sources agree.

Bonuses may drop anywhere from 30 to 50 per cent this year from last year's figures, says Greg Frumess, managing director of Foster Partners in New York, an executive search company affiliated with KPMG Peat Marwick
