Credit Suisse First Boston has opened a separate unit in London to handle derivatives business, including currency and interest-rate swaps. Called Credit Suisse Financial Products Ltd, the unit has been initially capitalized at $150 million and expects to receive the highest rating from the principal rating agencies.
