The Bank of Japan reports that average daily dollar/yen turnover in Tokyo for the holiday-shortened week ended May 5 totalled $4.84 billion, down from $8.99 billion for the week ended April 28. Average daily dollar/mark turnover for the same period also fell, to $1.7 billion, from $4.67 billion, respectively. The business week comprised only two days of trading as Japan celebrated Golden Week.
