Fed Survey Gets Modest Update 175 Banks Asked To Participate

REGULATIONS

The Federal Reserve Bank's foreign exchange survey, in keeping with those being sent by other central banks around the world, is slightly more detailed than the one it sent out three years ago and includes dozens more bank participants this time around.

The Fed reports that some 175 banks and 12 non-bank institutions are being asked to participate this year, up from the 148 banks and 14 non-banks that received it in 1989 and the 123 banks that received it in 1986.
