Talk is rife that some interdealer brokers will merge because of pressures to give bigger volume discounts and the added competition from computer trading systems. The latest bit of gossip is that Tradition, which is strong on the European Continent and has expertise in broking derivative products, R.P. Martin PLC, one of London's major foreign exchange brokers, and Eurobrokers, which serves as a broker for eurocurrency deposits and other interest-rate products, will link up in some form.
