Globex Glitches Second Time Opens 80 Minutes Late Sunday

The opening of Globex, the electronic futures trading system developed by Reuters holdings PLC and the Chicago Futures Exchanges, was delayed one hour and 20 minutes on Sunday, September 13, as a result of a software malfunction, officials confirm. "It was a technical problem," says a Globex spokesperson. "There was some problem with the ability [of traders] to get past the password protocol," he notes.
