GFI creates quant research role
GFI Group has appointed Julian Cook as head of quantitative research in New York at its trading technology and risk management systems arm, Fenics.
Cook takes on the role in addition to his existing functions as head of business development. He is now responsible for devising and executing GFI Fenics' ongoing maths strategy. This will include proprietary models, ongoing relationships with third-party model providers and bespoke projects for clients.
