Interview with Erik Lehtis on prime brokerage
Prime brokers in foreign exchange have been "winging it", thanks to a lack of regulation. However they must now prepare for new standards, according to Erik Lehtis, president of DynamicFX Consulting. Moderating a panel discussion on the future of prime brokerage at the annual FX Week USA congress in New York, Lehtis said all three panellists agreed central clearing in foreign exchange is inevitable. He said prime brokers currently set their own standards but under a regulated central clearing
