Standard Chartered hires Thorpe and Donnelly to head G-10 spot

Geoff Thorpe and John Donnelly have joined Standard Chartered as the bank seeks to strengthen its G-10 trading capabilities.

Thorpe is based in London as managing director and global head of G-10 spot trading. He joins after leaving JP Morgan earlier this year, where he had held senior positions in proprietary trading and spot trading.

Meanwhile Donnelly is based in New York as director and head of G-10 spot trading. He joins locally from Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML), where he had worked
