Resilience in the euro fails to dent krona strength

The Swedish krona has provided an alternative safe haven for euro-weary traders throughout the eurozone crisis, and although the euro has shown surprising resilience to recent troubles within the monetary union, foreign exchange traders expect the Scandinavian currency to remain a currency of choice throughout the rest of this year.

The country’s central bank, Sveriges Riksbank, announced on April 17 that it had opted to leave interest rates on hold until the second half of 2014, as it predicts
