Thedéen heads Swedish financial regulator

Former president of Stockholm stock market to oversee the system

Erik Thedéen, formerly president of Nasdaq OMX Stockholm, has been appointed as the new director-general of Swedish financial regulator Finansinspektionen.

Thedéen replaces Martin Andersson, who earlier this year vacated the post at the regulator, which is responsible for financial stability in the country.

Previously, Thedéen was chief executive of pensions company KPA Pension and also acted as an adviser to the government for four years.

He has also held several roles in the public sector
