Goldman's Patel joins XTX Markets

Jigar Patel will head the market-maker's e-commodities business

Jigar Patel, head of the e-commodities team at Goldman Sachs, will be joining non-bank electronic market-making firm XTX Markets in May, where he will head the e-commodities business.

London-based Patel joined Goldman in 2010, and he was key to the development of the US bank's commodities electronic trading business. Previously, he was a commodities trader at Credit Agricole, which he joined in 2009.
