Tracey McDermott, acting chief executive of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), will leave the organisation on July 1, when Andrew Bailey steps into the role on a permanent basis.

London-based McDermott has worked as chief of the UK regulator since Martin Wheatley stepped down in September 2015. On January 7, she withdrew from the process of appointing a new chief executive.
