Symphony to unveil external chat function in June

In an interview with FX Week, CEO David Gurle says the user base will grow significantly this summer

Bank-backed messaging system Symphony is set to roll out its external communications function on June 6, and it expects a number of current users to increase their subscribers from a few hundred to a few thousand, chief executive David Gurle told FX Week in an interview.

Since its launch six months ago, Symphony has accumulated more than 75,000 users as internal rollouts at banks and buy-side institutions progressed, and about 67 companies have signed up. The customer mix is around 75% sell side
