SocGen promotes O’Hara to global head of FXPB
John O'Hara's move comes shortly after joining the French bank
John O'Hara, who joined Societe Generale's foreign exchange prime brokerage (FXPB) sales team in January, has been promoted to global head of FXPB and FX clearing, FX Week has learned.
O'Hara's promotion comes in the wake of the French bank's efforts to expand its services in the FXPB space.
Based in New York, O'Hara will report to Fred Colette, global head of PB and clearing in London, and regionally to New York-based Alain Courbebaisse.
