The low-yielding environment in major economies is forcing investors to seek returns in emerging markets, despite the inherently higher-risk nature of these bets, as portfolio managers look to meet investment targets.

"We love emerging markets. I think it is one [of] the real sources for alpha. We think there is a lot of opportunity in emerging markets," said Nancy Davis, managing partner and chief investment officer at Quadratic Capital Management, while speaking on a FX hedging strategies
