Speed demon: Thomson Reuters will go live with production data in Q1 2017

Thomson Reuters is set to increase the frequency of its data updates on currency pairs traded on its Matching platform, quickening the feed by up to 10 times to 25 milliseconds from its current 250 milliseconds, FX Week has learnt.

The move comes after rival platforms took steps to reduce latency on their data feeds. EBS BrokerTec launched EBS Live Ultra in recent weeks, while Currenex went live with real-time feed Currenex Now at the end of August.
