All hands on: foreign exchange markets at full speed in the wake of US elections

Foreign exchange settlement utility CLS says it has seen around seven times the volume of average input volumes submitted to the company between 02:00 GMT and 03:00 GMT, as results from the US elections started to filter through.

The company said the heightened activity continued following the confirmation of Republican candidate Donald Trump at the start of the London trading session, when input volumes were around double the daily averages.
