Barclays' former chief executive will serve as an independent director of the bitcoin wallet provider

Blockchain's bitcoin wallet handles 150,000 transactions a day

Antony Jenkins, the former chief executive of Barclays, who launched startup firm 10x Future Technologies in October, has joined the board of digital currency company Blockchain as an independent director.

Blockchain runs a platform based on digital ledger technology and provides financial services such as bitcoin wallets. It now handles some 150,000 transactions a day.
