Newly rebranded interdealer broker TP Icap has appointed Iain Plunkett to the post of chief operating officer, starting in the second quarter of 2017.

He will also become a member of the global executive committee, which oversees the firm's strategy and management.

Plunkett joins TP Icap from Aberdeen Asset Management, where he was chief operating officer and chief information officer.
