David Hitchins, head of foreign exchange trading for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (Emea) at Jefferies, passed away suddenly on January 23.

"We are extremely grieved to inform you of the untimely passing of an important and well-loved member of the Jefferies family. On Monday morning, David Hitchins, managing director and the head of our London foreign exchange team, passed away unexpectedly," Jefferies said in a statement.

Hitchins joined Jefferies in November 2015, tasked with building
