Euro will weather the storm, says Natixis economist

Currency investors expect the euro will survive the current crisis without the exit of eurozone member states, which is why the currency is performing reasonably well, according to Luca Silipo, chief economist for Asia-Pacific at French bank Natixis in Hong Kong.

Speaking during a presentation at the FX Week Asia conference in Singapore earlier this month, Silipo said Germany will do everything it can to avoid a break-up of the eurozone, given the potential repercussions for its own economy.
