KBC Restructures New York FX Operation Following Closure Of Spot Forex in London

LONDON--The New York FX operations of Belgium’s KBC Bank are being restructured, a KBC official said here last week but declined to comment further at this stage.

The official was commenting to FX Week on FX market rumours that KBC was cutting back on staff in New York to concentrate on servicing clients from Brussels.

KBC has already closed its spot foreign exchange desk in London as part of a move to centralise treasury operations in Brussels.

KBC has moved Frank Nagels from London to the Belgian
