Gruntal Countersues Brokers Prebon Yamane Claiming 'Damaged Reputations' Of Lire Team

Gruntal & Co. is countersuing Prebon Yamane (USA) for one and a half times the amount of Prebon's original suit which was filed in April alleging poaching of staff (FX Week, April 11). The countersuit alleges that Prebon schemed to damage the reputations of the seven-member lire team that jumped ship last March by "causing to be published" in FX Week and Bloomberg News Service, a court filing and internal memorandum about the suit brought against Gruntal for allegedly misappropriating
