Standard Chartered's regional treasury manager in London, Gerhard Tarantik, is reorganising the forex business under newly-recruited manager Douglas Bate, who will head spot forex, while forward FX is being separated out and made part of the interest-rate product group under newly-appointed head James Adam.

The current FX manager, Jürgen Lindemann will leave the bank under the new structure, but will stay on long enough to help with the changeover, says Tarantik. In another move, Tarantik has
