Jeffrey Mondschien, 46, passed away last week after a long and severe illness, friends and colleagues say. He started his career nearly 17 years ago at Continental Can and spent the majority of his time at Continental Bank and Merrill Lynch. He was most recently chief financial officer at Bahaie in Haifa, Israel. Mondschien was among the first people involved in starting the currency options market and was "instrumental" in building Continental Bank's dealing room to significant levels, say
