George Fesus has resigned as treasurer and chief financial officer of the State Street Bank of Boston "to pursue personal interests," a bank spokesperson said. Fesus, who has held this post since 1992, will be replaced by David Spina, State Street's vice-chairman. Spina was the bank's chief financial officer until Fesus's appointment in 1992.
