As predicted, officials at Crédit Lyonnais have confirmed that the bank has hired Michael Cornford as global head of forex trading, sales and derivatives (FX Week, November 28). Cornford, who started at the bank on December 7, is based in London, which signals a shift for the French bank away from its traditional Paris base, although Cornford's boss, global treasury and capital markets director Marc Poli, remains at the head office.
