FX Committee Agrees On General Principles To Improve The Practice Of Brokers' Switches

In a revival of previous guidelines, the Foreign Exchange Committee, which advises the Federal Reserve on market-related issues, reached a consensus on the issue of brokers' switches at its July 1 meeting, according to industry sources (FX Week, June 28).

The committee agreed upon a set of general principles, outlined by the trading practices subcommittee. These will form the guidelines that the subcommittee will use to articulate its recommendations regarding brokers' switches to the industry
